Today this site hit 256 total hits.  Not very many by most standards, I agree.  So why is it news worthy? Well, that represents site traffice doubling 8 times since I first started the Mambo site. Just as a curiosity I'll try to note all doublings.  So the next one is 512. 

Why do I care about "powers of two".  Well, I'm a computer programmer.  Computer programs always do things by powers of two.  Don't really know why.  Some are very convenient, like 256, that's one byte of storage.  Some are convention, like 1024 is "1k" and there are other power of two values for 1m and 1g. 

So it's interesting and marginally useful.
