On one of my websites I have an RSS feed to the New York Times Technology section.  This section provides several items.  But I don't want to provide enough space on my site to display all of the items.  So I've set the module to only show one item.  But this is always the first one.  I would love to display a random selection from the list that is available.  As far as I can tell there are no ways to configure the RSS module that ships with Mambo to display random items from an RSS feed.  So this project idea is just another RSS module that will do this.
